Deepings Building and Plumbing Supplies has held a successful team building event for staff and key customers at Teamworks Karting in Peterborough.
The relationship building event saw 20 trade customers and 16 staff take part in a series of Grand Prix-style heats in electric powered karts.
Deepings Building and Plumbing marketing assistant Hayley Franklin said: “It was a full-on evening of practice laps and five heats each followed by a Grand Prix final and a podium ceremony for the winners.”
Despite some car trouble in the final race the Grand Prix was won by customer Mark Butcher. Second place went to Tom Smith of Thurlby. In third place was Kestrel Timber Frame commercial director Chris Halliday.
Commenting on the evening, operations director Ian Greenfield said: “This was a great way to bring customers and staff together in a fun and friendly atmosphere.
“Maintaining positive relationships with key customers and recognising their continued support for the business is a vital ingredient in our success as a premier local builders’ merchant.
“So too is keeping staff positive and motivated. This was a very successful event and we will definitely be doing this, or something like it, again in the near future.”
